Leaders and Teachers of our School Visited Colleges and Universities in Beijing
From November 19th to 20th, the leaders and teachers of our school visited many colleges and universities in Beijing to learn from the laboratory construction experience of advanced colleges and universities, and further promote the construction of the new liberal arts laboratory in our school. Dean Zhu Tuohua, Deputy Dean Deng Hui, Director of the Network and New Media Department Wang Weiwei,Director of the Department of Cultural Industry Management Chen Weiqiang, and Director of the Experimental Center Huang Huanchen, participated in the visit.
On the morning of the 19th, the team went to the School of Animation and Digital Arts of Communication University of China for exchange.Professor Huang Xinyuan, dean of Communication University Of China, introduced that Communication University of China gave full play to the scientific characteristics and comprehensive advantages of the field of media. It has formed the characteristics of running a school with the coordinated development and mutual penetration of news and communication, radio, film and television art, information science and technology.The college not only adheres to the “three-in-one combination” philosophy of “humanities as the main, science and technology as the use, and art as law”, but also adheres to the "three -integration" school running philosophy of “the integration of traditional and modern, the integration of Chinese and Western cultures, and the cross-integration of multi-disciplines”, and the “three-connecting" "principle of "connecting with the world, connecting with the industry, and connecting with the middle schools", to explore a way to train compound talents of animation and new media art that is suitable for China's national conditions. Lu Xin, deputy director of the research center of the institute led the team to take a detailed tour of the Key Laboratories,such as Beijing key Laboratory-Digital Animation Technology Research Laboratory, Digital Animation Studio, New Media Art Studio, and Super Honeycomb Virtual Reality Laboratory.
In the afternoon, the team went to the headquarters of Beijing Qiangyang Xinke Information Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Qian Huaiyu, the company’s CEO warmly welcomed everyone, Mr. Qian Xiaoyong, the operation director, introduced and demonstrated the functions and applications of Da Vinci media system. He also made an in-depth discussion on deep learning and College Students’ "Internet+" Competition of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
On the morning of the 20th, the team went to the Audiovisual Media School of the Beijing Film Academy to communicate with Dean Su Zhigang and other related teachers. Dean Su introduced that the Audiovisual Media School, aiming at scientific development and adapting to the requirements of the era of vigorously developing culture, was committed to cultivating application-oriented senior talents urgently needed by the society in the fields of network, mobile media, radio, television and other information communication. With the help of the advantageous disciplines and majors with profound historical accumulation and broad social service prospects of Beijing Film Academy, brand-new majors will be set up to gradually form a comprehensive pattern of training senior professionals in audio-visual new media art at the levels of undergraduate, master and doctor. Afterwards, the team visited a series of laboratories of the Animation Department and went to the Virtual Production Laboratory of Beijing Film Academy to have an on-site visit.
In the afternoon, the team went to the School of Arts and Media of Beijing Normal University to have a teaching exchange with Professor Zhou Wen, Assistant Dean, Director of the Department of Digital Media, and Executive Director of the Digital Creative Media Research Center of Beijing Normal University. Professor Zhou introduced the undergraduate majors and teaching situation of the School of Arts and Media, such as drama, film and television, musicology, fine arts, dance, digital media art and calligraphy. The media and art experimental teaching center of the school was awarded as "National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center" in 2016. After that, the team came to the School of Journalism and Communication of Beijing Language and Culture University to communicate with Dean Yun Guoqiang and Deputy Dean Guo Zhien. Dean Yun Guoqiang introduced the idea of running a school centered on improving the quality of talent training and based on the construction of a practical platform which has promoted the development and innovation of experimental teaching concepts. After the meeting, Deputy Dean Guo Zhien led the team to visit the non-linear editing laboratory in the later stage of radio and television, and gave a patient and detailed explanation and demonstration.
Through this visit to the basic practical teaching facilities of various colleges and universities in Beijing, we had in-depth discussions with peers on the practical management and practical teaching of comprehensive application-oriented disciplines, which provided beneficial experience support for further promoting the construction of relevant laboratories in our school and promoting the advanced concept of practical teaching as the center.
